He comes to you
At your office, or at home: measured, cloth chosen, the suit designed.
One fitting
On the finished suit, at your office or the studio. The studio is open evenings and Sundays.
Three to four weeks
Twelve days if it's urgent and the cloth is in stock. Alterations included.
Then it's a phone call

Three steps, where you work.
- 1
At your office
Sam comes to your office, or your home if that's easier, measures you himself and brings a selection of cloth, and you settle the details together: lapel, buttons, vent, pockets, lining. The first appointment is free, and you get a firm price before anything is cut.
- 2
One fitting, wherever suits you
The suit comes to the fitting finished, and Sam corrects it on you: back at your office, or at the studio just over Steeles, about 22 km from Union and open evenings and Sundays.
- 3
Collect, and keep the pattern
Ready in three to four weeks. Half paid when you choose the cloth, half on delivery, and the alterations are part of the order. Your pattern stays on file, so the next one is a phone call.

“Always bought my suits off the rack and always struggled with getting a quality suit that fit. A friend recommended I try Sam and I don't think I'll ever switch back. Sam has an extremely wide selection of fabrics and the detail he puts in every suit is truly remarkable. From the fit to choosing my fabric and design, Sam will be my go-to.

“Sam is such a great tailor. With only a few weeks before my wedding he made me a tuxedo that looked and felt great to wear. It fits very well and I got many compliments. I learned so much about tailoring and fabrics from him. I'd never gotten a custom suit before, but the quality was so good I'll be coming back.

The whole working wardrobe, measured once.
Every suit is half canvas at least, and full canvas on finer cloths. Never glued. Thirty years of making suits, and you deal with the man who measures you from the first appointment to the last fitting.

Does Sam really come to my office in Toronto?
Yes, to your office, or to your home if that is easier: the measuring, a selection of cloth and the conversation about what you need. The fitting on the finished suit can be there too, or at the studio in Vaughan, where the mirrors and the full fabric range are. Book it online or by phone and Sam confirms the time and the address.
Where is the studio, and how far is it from downtown?
Just over the city line at Steeles, on Charlton Avenue in Vaughan: about 22 km from Union Station, about forty minutes by car up Avenue Road and the Allen; closer to half an hour from Yonge & Bloor. By transit, the 7 Bathurst bus from Bathurst Station and the 60 Steeles West from Finch Station both stop at Bathurst & Steeles. Parking is at the door.
When is the studio open?
Sundays 9 am to 8 pm, Monday to Thursday 9 am to 8:30 pm, and Fridays 9 am to 2 pm. Closed on Saturdays. If you come up to the studio for the fitting, evenings and Sundays are the easy times.
How long does a custom suit take?
Three to four weeks from the first appointment, with one fitting on the finished suit. If it is urgent and the cloth is in stock, a suit can be ready in twelve days; say so when you book.
How much does a custom suit cost?
It depends on the cloth and the construction, so Sam gives you a firm price at the first appointment, before anything is cut. Half is paid when you choose the cloth and half on delivery, and the alterations are part of the order. The first appointment is free.
How many fittings will I need?
One, on the finished suit, at your office, at home or at the studio. Sam corrects it on you then: the shoulder, the sleeve, the drape and the break. Alterations are included.
What happens when I need another suit?
Your pattern stays on file. Reordering is a phone call and a choice of cloth, and the next one takes two to three weeks. A new shirt or pair of trousers needs no fitting at all.
Can Sam dress a Toronto wedding party?
Yes. Groom, groomsmen and both fathers, measured and matched on cloth and colour, so the row looks planned. The largest party Sam has dressed for one wedding was 38 men.
Why come north instead of buying on Bay Street?
Because a showroom prices its rent into every order, and none of it makes the jacket fit better. Same fabrics and canvassed construction from a studio just north of Steeles, and Sam can come to you for both appointments.
Before you book.
Four days on Bay Street, a coat over the suit on the commute, and how to get a custom suit made without taking an afternoon off downtown.
