Where do big and tall men get a suit that actually fits?
Made to measure. Off the rack, big and tall sizes are standard patterns graded up, so the shoulders, the chest, the sleeve and the jacket length rarely agree on one body. Sam measures you at the studio in Vaughan and cuts to your own numbers: three to four weeks, one fitting on the finished suit, and the alterations that get it right are included.
Big and tall sizing fails in a familiar way. The jacket that closes over the chest is too wide in the shoulder; the one that fits the shoulder pulls into an X at the button. The sleeve stops short of the wrist, the jacket stops short of the seat, and the trousers are cut for a rise nobody has. None of it is your build's fault: a graded-up pattern was never drawn for it.
Made to measure starts from you instead. Sam measures your chest, shoulders, reach, seat and rise at the studio in Vaughan, and the suit is cut to those numbers, with the proportions scaled to your frame too: the lapel width, the button stance and the pockets placed where they belong on a bigger or taller man, not where they sit on a size 40.

What sizes do you make?
There is no size chart, so there is no largest size. The suit is cut from your own measurements, whatever they are, and the pattern is kept on file for the next one.
I'm tall but slim. Is this for me?
Yes. Tall and slim is one of the hardest builds to buy off the rack: a jacket long enough for your arms is usually cut for a man twice as wide. Made to measure takes the length and the width separately.
Does a bigger suit cost more?
The price depends mostly on the cloth you choose. Sam gives you one firm price before anything is cut, and the alterations that get the fit right are included in it.
How long does it take?
Three to four weeks, with one fitting on the finished suit. Twelve days is possible in a real hurry if the fabric is in.
Can you make shirts too?
Yes. A dress shirt cut to your neck, chest and sleeve solves the same problem as the suit, and Sam can measure for both at the same visit.
Can you alter a big and tall suit I already own?
Often, yes: Sam does expert alterations on suits, jackets and trousers, whether he made them or not. Bring it in and he will tell you straight whether it is worth altering or not.
