A custom suit before the holidays. Order by the date that matters.
A suit takes three to four weeks, so the holidays are decided in November. Sam measures you himself, at the studio or at your office or home, and the one fitting is on the finished suit.

Four weeks out is comfortable; three is the latest inside the normal turnaround. Towards the end of the year the workroom slows down by about three weeks, so a suit ordered after Friday 20 November is ready in the new year, and a December rush cannot be promised. Every date of the season, from the black-tie galas to Pesach, is in the fall and winter calendar →

On the finished suit, wherever suits you. Sam corrects it on you: the shoulder, the sleeve, the break. Alterations are part of the order.

Ready
Three to four weeks from the first appointment; about three weeks more for an order placed after 20 November. Half paid when you choose the cloth, half on delivery, and your pattern stays on file for the next one.
Suits, dinner suits and the coat over them.
Every suit is half canvas at least, never glued. A tuxedo for the black-tie Saturdays, a Shabbos suit for Chanukah, a cashmere coat or a trench for a winter forecast to be wetter than usual.
Give the suit, not the guess.

“Always bought my suits off the rack and always struggled with getting a quality suit that fit. A friend recommended I try Sam and I don't think I'll ever switch back. Sam has an extremely wide selection of fabrics and the detail he puts in every suit is truly remarkable. From the fit to choosing my fabric and design, Sam will be my go-to.

“Sam is such a great tailor. With only a few weeks before my wedding he made me a tuxedo that looked and felt great to wear. It fits very well and I got many compliments. I learned so much about tailoring and fabrics from him. I'd never gotten a custom suit before, but the quality was so good I'll be coming back.

Straight answers.
Is it too late for a custom suit before the holidays?
Not yet. A suit takes three to four weeks from the first appointment, so the last comfortable day is about four weeks before the date and the latest is three. The workroom slows down by about three weeks over the holidays, so this year the dates come early: Friday 13 November for Chanukah, Friday 20 November for Christmas, New Year’s Eve and the December parties.
What if I have missed the date?
Call. Outside the holidays, a suit can be ready in twelve days if it is genuinely urgent and the cloth is in stock. In December the workroom is slower, so a rush cannot be promised; Sam will tell you whether your date is possible before you order anything. If the suit is a present, a gift certificate never misses a date.
Is there a Black Friday sale?
No. A made-to-measure suit is cut for one man, so there is no stock to clear. What there is: a firm price at the first appointment, before anything is cut, with the alterations included. If you are buying for someone else, a gift certificate lets him book his own appointment.
Does Sam come to my office or home?
Yes, on request, for the first appointment and for the fitting: the measuring, a selection of cloth and the conversation. Or come to the studio in Vaughan, just north of Steeles, open evenings and Sundays.
How much does a custom suit cost?
It depends on the cloth and the construction, so Sam quotes a firm price at the first appointment, which is free. Half is paid when you choose the cloth and half on delivery.
When is the studio open over the holidays?
Sundays 9 am to 8 pm, Monday to Thursday 9 am to 8:30 pm, Fridays 9 am to 2 pm. Closed on Saturdays. In December candle lighting is as early as 4:22 pm, so a Friday fitting is a short one; Sunday is the easy day.
Three to four weeks
Order by 20 November, wear it for the holidays.
The first appointment is free. Sam confirms the time himself, and never on Shabbos.
